Recall on Licence & Navigating the Music Industry

We are proud to have an expertise in representing individuals who are the subject of licence conditions and supervision by probation service, or Criminal Behaviour Orders imposed by the Court. We advise and offer robust representation in challenging these orders and in particular providing crucial advise on navigating the conditions. We assist established and up and coming artists, whose musical output is under scrutiny by Probation, police and the courts. 

We understand the implications for any artist, management company, record label and other partners when creativity and the ability to earn is curtailed or limited. Criminal Defence

  • Including coercive and controlling behaviour, assault, domestic violence, sexual offences, white collar and financial crime, fraud, driving offences, drugs offences, criminal damage, public order offences, robbery, burglary and theft.
  • Specialists in parole and licence recall cases, providing strategic advice and representation to secure re-release for our clients.
  • Assist individuals who have been recalled to prison on licence, a niche area of law that requires specialist knowledge and skill to secure re-release.

Immigration Law

  • Specialising in visa applications (spouse and partner visas, business visit visas, visitor visas, work visas, highly skilled visas, sole representative visas), asylum cases, deportation appeals, and indefinite leave to remain applications.
  • We also specialise in appeals before the Immigration and Asylum Tribunals in respect of appeals against refusal of Asylum and appeals against deportation.

Social responsibility

Cecilia Goodwin is a director of Art Not Evidence a UK based campaign group fighting for legal reform, specifically the prejudicial use of creative expression in Criminal Trials. Experience has shown that in numerous cases before the Courts in England and Wales the use of rap lyrics during the proceedings has no direct connection to the case and instead the evidence is used to introduce and support the stereotypes and gang narratives to secure conviction, thereby leading to potential miscarriages of justice.
